CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIME
Check-In: 3:00 pm, Check-Out: Before 11:00 am
If you plan on arriving after 9:00 pm, please notify the inn to make alternate arrangements. Unfortunately, due to our small size we typically cannot accommodate early check-ins or late departures.
OCCUPANCY AND LOCAL TAX
Transient Occupancy Tax is charged on the room rate only.
To guarantee your reservation, we require a valid credit card to be on file.
We have a 7 day cancellation policy, unless otherwise stated on your confirmation. For all reservations cancelled 7 days or more before the date of arrival there is no charge. For reservations cancelled within 7 days of arrival, the first night charge, plus tax, will be billed to your credit card on file.
Reservations made within 7 days of the arrival date are considered non-cancellable and will incur a one night charge if cancelled. Guests who fail to cancel their reservation and do not check-in on the day of arrival will be charged for the first night plus tax.
Group, Holiday or Special Event Periods
Reservations that are made with a group booking or during a special event or holiday period are subject to 21 day cancellation policy. This will be stated on your confirmation. If you have any questions, please contact the manager about your cancellation policy. Guests who fail to cancel their reservation and reserved their guestroom through a group booking or during a special event period are subject to a no-show charge equal to the entire stay.
GUEST IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED
Guests will be required to present a valid identification at check-in that matches the guest name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom. If someone other than the guest on the reservation will be paying the folio charges, a Credit Card Authorization form is required and must be on file at time of check-in.
We welcome families and their children. For your comfort, please speak with the innkeeper directly to determine the best room to accommodate your family. Quiet hours must be observed after 8:30 pm for the comfort of all in the hotel. Children, ages five and under, stay free. If you should need a crib, you must request one in advance as there are a limited number available at each inn. Click here for additional information and guidelines for visiting with your child.
GUEST PARKING AT WASHINGTON SQUARE INN
Due to the city location and historic nature of the inn we do not have on-site parking available. Washington Square Inn can provide a parking voucher for the parking garage located one block away at a rate of $35 plus tax. This rate includes guaranteed parking, 24 hour access to vehicle (outside of parking garage's open hours), in/out privileges and a reduced tax rate from 25% garage tax to 14%. This is a daily rate and applies between the hours of 1pm on the day of check-in to 3pm the following day. Parking outside of these hours will incur additional nightly charges. There are also many alternative parking garages in the immediate area. Please note that the parking valet located to the left of the inn is associated with the restaurant next door.
We are 100% smoke-free. Please do not smoke in any of the guestrooms, on the patios or within 25 feet of the buildings. If smoking occurs, there will be a $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio. Please know we strictly enforce this policy.
While we love pets, Washington Square Inn does not have any pet-friendly guestrooms onsite. If a pet is admitted, an additional fee, up to $200 will be added to your folio. Please know we strictly enforce this policy and will charge up to $200 for pets admitted without an advance reservation in our pet-friendly guestroom. We are happy to make boarding facility recommendations.
Our room rates are based on single or double occupancy only. (Only room 1 can accomodate up to three guests.) If a third guest (over the age of five) is staying in room 1, there will be a $25 extra person nightly charge. If you should need a futon or rollaway, please contact us immediately to make special arrangements.
EARLY DEPARTURE FEE
Guests who need to check-out earlier than expected from the hotel will be subject to a $75 early departure fee. Guests that initially reserved more than one night because there was a required minimum-night stay will be charged the full amount of each night required.
FRONT DESK HOTEL SAFE
Each inn offers a secure safe at the front desk for guest use. Items checked into the front desk safe will remain completely secure during the duration of the stay and are available to access during the inn’s posted front desk hours. Upon checking an item in, guest's will receive a written receipt of the item(s) with the declared value. We cannot accept cash or items valued in excess of $2500 total per room. Please know that we cannot be responsible for any items and/or valuables left in the guestroom at the guests discretion.
CREDIT CARD / DEBIT CARD POLICY
Debit and credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
If paying with cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and $100 per day towards incidentals will be collected at check-in.
ACCESSIBILITY AT WASHINGTON SQUARE INN
We are in the process of having our property inspected by a California Certified Access Specialist, and while the property has multiple ADA-compliant accessibility features, due to its historic nature, the property is not 100% compliant.
